Belgian football

An ongoing photographic journey through the terraces of Belgian football.

When I moved to Belgium, going to the football became a way of exploring the country that I’m living in while maintaining a rhythm that connects me to my roots back home. I come from a country with a beautiful football culture.
To be a fan of Zulte Waregem means something different to being a fan of Sint-Truiden or Union Saint Gilloise. The legacy of the club and its achievements, the industrial history of the area, the collective memory of the people who fill the stadium each week… all of these things combine to weave the fabric of a football culture.
This project is dedicated to the memory of Maria Petri, who taught us all how to be a true fan.
