Greening the Blue is an annual report on the carbon footprint of the United Nations system. I created the design direction for the 2021 and 2022 reports.

The design needed to be neutral in tone, and so I chose to take a data visualisation approach.

I established a system for visualising data throughout the report, taking the grid from the UN logo and using it as a drawing board for the data. The grid can be adapted to best display the data in question. Having a consistent way of visualising the data makes it easier to read, and referencing the subject matter in the design makes the message more memorable.
