Outlaw FM was born out of the Rhythm Race Revolution course that uses music and its attendant cultural texts as a site of deep study, through which ideas of race, gender, colonialism, healing and transformative justice can be collectively explored.
I took a core text from the course – Saidiyah Hartman’s The Chorus – and wrote it out by hand. The handwritten text appears as a 12” vinyl, with the words forming the grooves of the record.
